Terms of use
Effective 1 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Redeem Labs Ltd (trading as Redeem) ("we", "us"), the provider of the Redeem app and website. By using Redeem you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Redeem.
1. Who can use Redeem
You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use Redeem. If your device tells us you're under 13, the Prayer Pool is turned off.
2. What Redeem does
Redeem uses Apple's Screen Time features to pause apps you choose and invites you to pray before they unlock. It also lets you share short, private prayer requests and pray for others. Redeem is a tool for prayer and habit change. It is not medical, mental health, pastoral or crisis care, and prayer requests are not monitored for emergencies in real time. If you're in danger, contact the emergency services.
3. Your account
Redeem gives you an account linked to your device, with no name or email attached. Keep your device secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
4. Prayer requests and other content
You're responsible for what you post. You must follow the community guidelines. You keep ownership of your content, and you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within Redeem to run the service, for as long as it's in Redeem. We don't use your requests in advertising.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users; see section 6. We check, can refuse, hide or remove any content, and can restrict or end any account, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the guidelines, harms someone, or breaks the law. We'll tell you when we remove your content unless doing so would put someone at risk or break the law. You can ask us to review a decision by emailing support@getredeem.app.
5. Reporting and complaints
Report content with the ··· menu on any request, or email us. We review reports within 24 hours. You can complain about how we handled a report, or about our safety measures, by email; we'll respond within 14 days.
Appeals. To keep the community safe, we may remove a request, hold it for review, or limit or stop an account from posting. We don't always tell you when we do this, because telling people can help them get round our safety measures. If you think we've removed your content or limited your account by mistake, or that one of your requests isn't being shown, email support@getredeem.app with "Appeal" in the subject and your support code (Settings > Help). A person who wasn't involved in the original decision will review it, and we'll reply within 14 days. If we got it wrong, we'll restore your content or account. You can also complain to us about anything else to do with safety on Redeem at the same address.
6. Acceptable use
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. That includes hate, harassment, sexual content, threats, and attempts to identify or contact other members. Content like this is removed, and accounts that post it are blocked from posting.
Don't misuse Redeem: no attempts to identify or contact other users, scraping, automated posting, interfering with the app, or getting around blocks and bans.
7. Paid features
If we offer subscriptions or other purchases, they're sold and billed by Apple under Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple. If your subscription ends, Plus features stop but nothing you've written is deleted; your full history comes back if you subscribe again, and you can still delete your requests or your account at any time. Redeem Plus and Founding Member are shared through Apple Family Sharing with up to five other people in your family group. Each person keeps their own private account, and nobody in the group can see anyone else's requests, prayers or settings. If someone leaves the group or the purchase ends, their Plus stops. Redeem isn't a parental control: each person chooses their own settings. A Founding Member (lifetime) purchase is a one-time payment that gives you Redeem Plus for as long as we offer Redeem Plus in the app, with no renewal. It is offered only to the first 500 people who buy it, and can be restored on your other devices with Restore Purchases.
8. Availability and changes
We try to keep Redeem running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, Redeem is provided "as is", and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by other users. If you're a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don't affect.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Redeem or its content, has no obligation to provide support, and isn't responsible for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you're not in a country under a US government embargo and not on a US government list of restricted parties. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your licence to use the Redeem app. Where it and these terms differ, Apple's agreement governs that licence, and these terms govern the Redeem service, including your account, your content and our community rules.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also bring proceedings where you live.
